Dr. Wieder, a clinical psychologist, has pioneered creative approaches to
treating children with complex developmental problems. With Stanley Greenspan,
M.D., she developed the DIRTM and Floor Time Approach and
founded the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders (ICDL).
She is the Director of the DIRTM Institute Certificate Program
and is also the co-author, with Stanley Greenspan, M.D., of The Child with Special
Needs; Encouraging Intellectual and Emotional Growth and the twenty hour video
series on Floor Time for Children with Special Needs. She is also a founder of the
Floortime Foundation and speaks frequently on their web-radio program. Dr. Wieder is
a member of the Board of Directors of ZERO TO THREE/National Center for Infants,
Toddlers and Families. She publishes widely and is a frequent lecturer and
consultant
